Hulu and Mission Statements
All this talk lately about Hulu and their mission statement has got me thinking. I’ve concluded that I dislike mission statements, and here are my reasons.

The little idea that could, keeps on getting bigger. My company’s site, Skinnyr, was said to be dead when there were about 1650 users. Today, I’m proud to announce that the site has surpassed 3500 registered users.
First, I’ll give you a glance at the traffic figures, by month, since January.
So there you have it. Skinnyr will be getting some major, major upgrades in a few months. It will be migrating from a simple graph site into something a little bit more. I don’t want to give away too much, as sites “inspired by” Skinnyr have popped up, but I can promise you it will be cool.
Stay tuned!

My name is James Thomas and apparently, I’m one of few who aren’t buying into the Mahalo hype.
If you’re unfamiliar with it, Mahalo is supposed to be the “world’s first human powered search engine”. This is already misleading, as Mahalo is not a search engine. It’s actually a wiki that capitalizes on current news. The truth is that it’s no different than the rest of the internet, other than the fact that it’s severely lacking in content.
That’s right, folks. I was looking for a way to phrase the new mobile platforms, and came up with this little gem. Iphone and Opera Mobile have both been making headway, and are far different from the days of WAP and low grade simple HTML. Therefore, I give you the new term:
Mobile 2.0

Well, I’m back from California. The trip was good. I sold one of my sites while I was there. JamJunky.com is no more. Didn’t take long, either… it was only live about 3 - 4 months. My lack of interest in the site, and the right offer, made it worth it to let it go. The new owners will do well with it, and it fits right in their genre.
Anyways, I saw a lot of Orange County and a little of San Diego (my favorite city at the moment). Orange County CA is SUPER nice, and makes this place (Orlando) look pretty bad. Orlando was never that great to begin with, but is a decent city.
So there you have it, I’m back in O-town and back makin sites. My next one should launch in the next week. Keep your eyes peeled! I’ll announce it here and it may make it to the big tech blogs again, as well.
Stay classy! lol
