Something useful in a week
I finally did it. I took a week off from my day job. I almost never take vacation days, but I’ve been itching to build a new site idea I had. Given that I code on BandNation every day when I get home from my job, I just haven’t had time to build my own stuff, and I have the itch.
So here’s the deal. We launch a new version of BandNation this friday night. After that, probably sunday night, I’ll be beginning my week long effort to build my idea. The design is already done, thanks to Chris at C2Labs, and I’m kind of cheating because I already have my php framework built out (custom, OOP PHP5). I plan on blogging my accomplishments, or lack of, every night.
Seven nights. One useful project. One geek.
I’ll formally announce the site idea on sunday night when I begin. It will be simple, yet pretty damn cool.
